DiMaggio tournament continues

The Keith Connelly Napa Valley Fourth of July Joe DiMaggio Baseball Tournament continued Sunday, with games at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville and Justin-Siena High School.

• Pacifica beat the Vacaville Bulldogs, 5-1. For Pacifica, Brett Berghammer was 2 for 4, scored a run and doubled; Curtis Casperson was 2 for 3 with an RBI; Alex Jankins was 1 for 2 with an RBI; and Julius Raval, the winning pitcher, threw seven innings, allowed five hits and struck out five.

• The Vallejo Spartans beat the South San Francisco Rangers, 5-4.

• Millbrae won by forfeit, 7-0, over Clear Lake.

• San Mateo beat Napa’s Raneri & Long Roofing/Mark Coleman Insurance, 6-5. Matthew Kerns got the win, with the save going to Nick Fermanek. Christopher Romeo was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Luis Barrantes was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

For Napa, Diano Pachote was 1 for 2 with a home run, scored two runs and had a stolen base. Mark Castellucci was 1 for 3 with a triple and RBI. The loss went to Nick Martinez, who pitched 32⁄3 innings. Robert Archer threw 21⁄3 innings of relief.

• The San Francisco Cardinals beat Napa Sheriff’s/Matt Salsman Insurance, 9-6.

• San Bruno beat Mendocino, 3-1. John Wild was 2 for 4 with a double and triple and Luciano Molina, the winning pitcher, had two hits.

• Tri County beat the San Francisco Barbarians, 12-3. Isiah Hernandez was 4 for 4 with four RBIs, Brian Case had three hits and two RBIs, Jared Ney had two hits with a double and two RBIs, and Austin Calvert had two hits and two RBIs.

• River City beat Daly City, 4-3.

The tournament continues today at Borman Field in Yountville.
